Hamas confirms that Cairo talks with mediators addressed obstacles that threatened the Gaza deal with Israel.

  • Hamas says the group will continue “to implement the [Gaza ceasefire] agreement in accordance with what was signed, including the exchange of prisoners according to the specified timetable”.
  • Earlier, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz again threatened to resume the war on Gaza, jeopardising the release of three Israeli captives scheduled for Saturday.
