Dozens of Palestinians await freedom after Israel stalls their release before verification of captives’ bodies received from Gaza.

  • Israel is due to free dozens of Palestinian prisoners, including 24 children from Gaza, whose release was held up before the verification of the four captives’ bodies handed over by Hamas.
  • So far, 456 Palestinians held in Israeli jails have arrived in Gaza, 97 have been deported to Egypt, 37 arrived in the West Bank and five more in occupied East Jerusalem.
