Simba Cement continues to redefine Uganda’s construction industry by offering top-quality cement at unmatched prices, setting a new standard for the sector.

As the company scales its operations with the region’s largest clinker manufacturing plant in West Pokot, Kenya, Simba Cement is empowering builders, contractors, and homeowners to undertake diverse construction projects with cost-effective, high-strength solutions.

According to Edna Agwata, Sales Manager at Simba Cement, the company committed to maintaining competitive pricing amidst rising operational costs.

“Our proximity to raw material sources plays a crucial role in our pricing strategy. The newly commissioned clinker plant, which is very near to our Tororo plant, ensures logistical efficiency, reduced transport costs, and an overall lower carbon footprint. This efficiency allows us to continue offering affordable cement without compromising quality,” Agwata noted.

Beyond price and performance, Simba Cement remains dedicated to sustainability and safety. The company operates in compliance with ISO standards and adheres to strict environmental protocols set by regulatory bodies such as NEMA. Cutting-edge machinery and regular training initiatives ensure a safe and healthy environment for both workers and contractors.

“We recently introduced Simba Cement CEM II, a product specifically developed to meet the growing demand for high-strength cement in civil works and infrastructure projects, as Uganda’s construction industry evolves, Simba Cement is well-positioned to provide advanced solutions that align with market needs.”

As Simba Cement continues to lead Uganda’s construction industry, its influence is felt across the country. The company’s expansion efforts, including the appointment of new dealers and increased production capacity, ensure that Simba Cement remains accessible to all consumers country wide.

Heet Raval, Simba Cement’s Marketing Manager, highlighted the impact of Simba Cement’s strategy on the local market.

“Our focus has always been to offer high-quality cement at affordable prices without compromising quality. We believe that by supporting the country’s vision of affordable housing, we contribute significantly to Uganda’s socio-economic growth.

We are committed as Simba cement to the government of Uganda and all Ugandan citizens to always provide cement at minimum affordable price to achieve their dreams to build their own houses. The new clinker plant gives us a unique logistical advantage, allowing us to pass on cost savings to our customers while ensuring top- grade cement is readily available.”

Simba Cement, a leading market player, has said it will leverage the recently launched clinker plant in West Pokot, Kenya, to reduce production costs and consequently lower cement prices in Uganda.

Looking ahead, the company hopes to expand its footprint across the region by exporting more to Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda among others.
